Sharing

In web and S3-resources, files can be shared publicly outside Coscine for 24 hours via a link. Only owners and members of a project can use this function.

Sharing files is a two-step process:

1. Select a file in the file explorer left-handed (only one file possible at a time).
2. In the metadata manager on the right-hand side, open the file context menu using the drop-down arrow and click on the Share button.

By clicking on Share, the link is copied to your clipboard and is then valid for 24 hours. If the link is entered in the search bar of an internet browser, the download will start immediately and you will then find the downloaded file within your downloads.
