The role of Organisation Management is held exclusively by designated contact persons (ideally appointed by IdM.nrw) within an organisation that uses Coscine. Organisation Management may be appointed for the organisation and all its organisational units, or for individual organisational units.

Organisational management are responsible for exporting data on organisational units, their members and their roles from their organisations. The exported data must be provided in a structured, machine-readable format. This is optional, so not every institution is required to assign this role.

Contracts

Any university wishing to use Coscine (and storage resources such as DataStorage.nrw) must complete the following contracts and forms with their contact details and sign them:

  • Service Framework Agreement
  • Certificate of performance for Coscine and storage system
  • Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
  • List of support addresses and reviewers

RWTH Aachen University accepts the following types of signatures:

  • Advanced electronic signature (e.g. using a DFN certificate) of the contract document and return to the email address finanzen@itc.rwth-aachen.de. With this option, RWTH also signs the document with an advanced electronic signature and returns the signed contract document by email to the contracting party.

  • Please print out and sign the contract in triplicate. Please send all three copies of the contract by post to the following address: IT Centre, RWTH Aachen University, Gianna Wollenschläger, Seffenter Weg 23, 52074 Aachen

DH.NRW Universities

The draft contracts for DH.NRW universities are available in the Sciebo project box on Coscine. If you require access, please feel free to contact us.

The templates differ in terms of the use of the ‘old’ RDS storage system, which, for funding-related reasons, may only be used by HAW, FH and KuMus, as well as members of the storage consortium.
